Classic Craig, a beautiful book filled with fact and fiction both of which will make you laugh out loud. A great companion to Craig's excellent website, my favourite bit in the book so far is the war between the polar bears and the penguins. And Billy is in there too, it's like Where's Wally. Also very nicely packaged with high quality print and a nice dust jacket that is the same design as the book cover (small things like this matter greatly) Well done Craig, I think this might just beat the Minipops!

This is a real wasted opportunity of a book. It's a great, simple idea- a world atlas packed with comedy and lies- but ultimately it's not as funny as it could or should have been.

There are some funny moments in here, but as the author takes on every country in the world, a lot of the writing feels like a first draft, the kind of thing many writers would go back to and re-write funnier later on. At times I felt like I could've written this book in a couple of days, given a normal atlas, Wikipedia, sufficient alcohol and a bucket of good old British prejudice. Large parts of it will date badly to 2007 too.

The illustrations are the strongest part of the book, but the text feels like it belongs more to a blog or a quirky website than justifying all the effort of a hardback book.

Missable.

This book is hilarious. Completely fabricated facts and drawings about every country in the world. The humour may be a little bit British, but it's done so well it really doesn't matter. The illustrations, as always, are top notch and the print quality and design are excellent. A must have, to dip in and out of when you have time spare.

I'd never read any of this author's books before, but I'll sure be checking them out after buying this. A very funny look at the countries of the world (some more detailed than others) with the accompanying pixellated computer-style people never failing to raise a smile as well. Most of what is written is purely for comedic purposes, but there are also the odd nuggets of interesting info that will enhance your geographical knowledge for sure!

Careful if you're buying it for younger readers, though, as there's quite a bit of swearing. For those that appreciate it, however, this only serves to make it even funnier!

From the product description, I assumed this book was suitable for children and young people. However I wished I had known it contains some swearing (f word) and some (admittedly not a lot) sexual humour. So you need to bear this in mind before you buy.
