4.0 out of 5 stars Toy making supreme, 24 Dec 2011
This review is from: 52 Toys and Puzzles for the Weekend Woodworker (Paperback)
The title really says it all with this book. There are plenty of designs for the reader to choose from and the book also is useful in giving more ideas for other projects or ideas that the individual might have.Personally, I found the jigsaw puzzles the most suitable type of project to tackle first. What I found really helpful was that the writer does not assume that the reader has access to expensive or hi-tech woodworking machinery. Most of the designs can be tackled with very basic carpentry tools. Many of the toys are from way back in the past but they are still very good today. Most American books have imperial measurements and this book is no exception but even if you are more familiar with metric you'll easily adapt to inches and those old style fractions. There is no colour in any of the photos but the old style drawings make this book that bit more attractive.
