I am a specialist in addiction, weight loss, health & wellbeing and better relationships...

I have a particular slant because I am looking for one sentence to justify the cover price and I will encourage you to buy the book...

That's it - there are many different types of reviewers - I happen to be one that is grateful for the opportunity to have access to all this wonderful knowledge, to learn and to share what may be a life changing snippet of knowledge...

This review will be even more biased because Ian Stewart has been a mentor, trainer and clinical supervisor to me for the last 5 years or so...

And I have gotten better, seriously better. My health has improved, my relationships have improved. My children's lives have improved and a lot of the reasons behind this massive improvement has been Ian Stewart and the theory of Transactional Analysis.

Before I start my review... Let me tell you a true story. Today I watched my son Max pick up the trophy because his team won the league he plays in, he's also the team captain. 5 years ago I was "almost" watching my son play football and reading another of Ian Stewart's books called TA Today - co written with Vann Joines. I was at the football but I was in the car reading TA Today...

Today I was on the sidelines cheering my son on - and being a proud father... Progress for real.

Developing TA counselling takes you through a process, a TA process that is highly effective in creating change.

This book will really help you if you are studying counselling in general - not just TA and it will also help you if you are interested in learning how to get better.

"What kind of person are you?" One sentence therapy...

If you were becoming stronger, fitter, healthier, more confident and were living the life of your dreams what would it look like?

These are the sort of questions Ian has been encouraging me to answer for the last five years and my life is looking better... Not perfect - just better and nicer...

There are lots of reasons to buy this book. In fact there are 30 of them and you would also benefit from buying TA Counselling in Action also by Ian Stewart.

Good structured dialogue - breaks things down for the student.
Very well put together and good reference materials I could incorporate within my study and written materials.
