A great volume for anyone interested in Skylab and the Apollo equipment. The book deals with every aspect of the story but focuses on the three crews and their personal experiences. The inflight diary of Alan Bean (from the second crew) is also included in full, which makes very interesting reading.

This is another fantastic book in the 'Outward Odyssey' series. In fact,it is one of my favourite books, period! Being too young to remember the space race (I was just over 2 months old when Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt walked on the moon during Apollo 17!), I didn't know much about Skylab at all, after reading this book,it is cleat that it was unfairly overshadowed by Apollo. A truly fascinating story, I remember reading somewhere that the late Pete Conrad and Alan Bean both considered Skylab, rather than Apollo 12 as the pinnacle of their NASA careers, I can see why after reading this book! Fantastic book, buy it - you won't regret it!
