This review is from: The Analytic Theist: An Alvin Plantinga Reader: Alvin Plantiga Reader (Paperback)
The Analytic Theist contains papers that represent some of the most important developments in recent times in the philosophy of religion. Covering topics including a refutation of the argument against God from evil, the ontological argument, and the rationality of belief in God, these papers represent the ideas that Plantinga is most famous for introducing into the field.
This book is, despite what the editor claims, very technical in parts. I wouldn't recommend it to the casual reader: logicians and philosophers will get the most out of it, perhaps, and possibly the odd philosophically-minded theologian. I was tempted to give it 4 stars to reflect its inaccessibility- but the papers included were, after all, intended for an academic audience. If you haven't already read similar books, buy it at your peril. It is a satisfying read, but only if you can understand it.
