I came to this book after developing an interest in the origin of tetrapods after reading Shubin your inner fish and some Carl Zimmer
As a PhD level bioscientist but not in this field i would say this is definitely NOT an introductory book but a academic reference text having said that itsva great read for anyone interested in the origin of amphibians and their evolution and would also be of interest for anyone interested in tetrapod evolution more generally. It's beautifully illustrated with well annotated figures.
Off to read Jenny Clack's new book next
