This review is from: Photography Field Guide: Digital Black and White (National Geographic Photography Field Guides) (Paperback)
I think people interested in exploring film processing (darkroom, chemicals etc.) and an introduction to the digital equivalent, all types of cameras including view cameras, and looking to do their own printing then this guide might be useful.

My interest, having been drawn towards black and white photography, was to explore how best to approach b&w photography in terms of composition and design, what makes a good image/subject and why. For my liking, there was far too little content about those aspects.

As a photography enthusiast for many years looking for guidance in the art of black and white photography I didn't find it very helpful in the way I have with other books, e.g. Creative Black and White (Harold Davis) and The Art of Black and White Photography (Torsten Andreas Hoffmann).

Overall, I'm disappointed.
