This review is from: SpiderMan: The Gauntlet - Volume 4: Juggernaut (Amazing Spider-Man (Paperback Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
The stories running through the Amazing Spider-Man issues #626-629 are collected, along with Amazing Spider-Man issues #229-230, as SpiderMan: The Gauntlet - Volume 4: Juggernaut (Graphic Novel Trade Pb). This time, the Juggernaut is the headline star, and Spidey's previous run-in with him (from 1982!), which is actually integral to the story, is also collected. This sequence contains a mix of stories:

Issue #626: "The Sting" sees one of crusading lawyer Michelle Gonzales' clients visiting to discuss his current situation. The ol' Spidey-sense is not happy, so Spider-Man follows him to what turns out to be a convention of the Hood's followers, where the Hood has the original Scorpion's suit available for the lucky candidate who is still standing after a free-for-all. Just as Spider-Man is sloping off to Assemble the Avengers, he bumps into the current Scorpion, who demonstrates her ability to inject a poison that temporarily nullifies her opponent's powers. Guess who gets stung? Fortunately, before he becomes the football, the new Scorpion steals the old Scorpion-suit, and the Hood sends his followers in pursuit. Quickly changing to civilian clothes, Peter Parker pretends to be a member of the audience, and bumps into Michelle, who is there to try and talk her client out of returning to crime. Pete rescues her and sends her on her way, and returns to "take pictures" as his spider-powers have now returned. He then helps the Scorpion to escape also. She then takes the suit to her clients - "Russian nut jobs"...

Issues #627-629 features the Juggernaut, who comes plunging into Central park like a meteor. He is carted off to the old Armoury in upper Manhattan, where Spidey sneaks in to find out what happened to him. Here he meets the latest Captain Universe, who reveals that he happened to him, and is back to finish the Juggernaut off. There is a bit of fighting and throwing of Juggernauts into the Jersey Shore, before the plot is revealed. The Universal Forces want Captain Universe to fix some damage to the tectonic plates below Manhattan caused by the Juggernaut when he escaped from Spider-Man's trap back in issue #230! The Captain Universe host would much rather kill the Juggernaut for getting him fired back in issue #229! Fortunately, it turns out that the Juggernaut is semi-reformed nowadays, and he teams up with Spider-Man to take on Captain Universe and rescue Manhattan from imminent destruction...

"Brother can you spare a crime" appears to be a back-up story from issue #629, as Peter Parker struggles to get to a job interview through a rampage by Crusher Creel.

Issues 229-230 are a two-part story (from 1982) in which Black Tom Cassidy and the Juggernaut attempt to kidnap Madame Web in order to take advantage of her precognitive abilities. Unfortunately for Spider-Man, "Nothing can stop the Juggernaut". Unfortunately for the Juggernaut, it turns out that various laws of physics and gravity can slow him down quite adequately.

These are a varied mix of entertaining stories.
