5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta read this book if you love pokemon like me
This book gives you a great idea of how to play the gameboy game. It is also a very well planned and illustrated story. It features a number of pokemon pictures and also screen shots from the gameboy game. A must buy for all pokemon fans( like me)..happy catching! Oh yes..and before I forget THE UK NEEDS POKEMON NOW!!!!!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable guide for the youngsters, pathetic for over-9s
This is ultimately a good story to dig out if you are stuck with Pokémon. However it is not a complex guide, therefore you will not find strategy tips, trainer rosters (excepting a few occasions), Pokémon locations or any of the information in most Pokémon guides; merely a story, vaguely a walkthrough for the games. The book is not, in the end,...

this book is great i like it it has helpful hints on the levels of pokemon like the elite 4. It tells you how to get from place to place and where to get flash fly cut etc. It says where to catch some pokemon and even if you don't have the game it is a great story and might make you buy it. I think this is a great book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great childens Pokemon book, 2 July 1999
By A Customer
I ordered this book thinking it was a Pokemon guide but instead it is a story book. It follows very closely to the game and i found it quite good it is reall aimed for a younger audience and not a tennager like me. All in all an ace book

1.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable guide for the youngsters, pathetic for over-9s, 27 July 2002
The book is not, in the end, suitable for readers over 9 years of age, as the childish language and not very helpful and limited information resources are not enough to satisfy anyone older than that age. As a Pokémon pro, I can safely say this is the least helpful, most limited and quite unbelievably useless and childish Pokémon guide I have ever come across. I am 12 years old and have completed all the games, and the guides I have used, besides this one, have been outstanding. This, at it's ridiculously high release price in high street stores, does not deserve one star. A thorough waste of time.
