Gold Star Award Winner!

Being around Celia Graves is hard - heck, BEING Celia Graves is even harder.

Celia is getting used to being a half-vampire siren. As if that wasn't enough, she has faced off against both a Siren Queen and a demon who wants her dead, and she's done all of this while dealing with a heart that's been broken twice by the same man.

Just as we think Celia may get a little rest, she learns that an ancient rift between a demon dimension and our own begins to open. With all of the life-and-death struggles that she's going through, she is actually uniquely gifted to handle such a problem.

But she's still going to need help from friends - as well as from people she no longer trusts.

How many ways must I say how awesome this series is before everyone believes me? Suspense, drama, action, and even a little romance thrown in just to spice it up a bit. Very few authors come close to writing stories such as this. I've seen few movies that I actually enjoy as much as the BLOOD SINGER series.

Cat Adams is a joy to read each and every time. With these books and this author I know that my interest will be held and my expectations exceeded before even opening the cover. Definite Gold Star reading material!

This review is from: Demon Song (Blood Singer) (Paperback)
Celia Graves; part siren, part vampire and complete kick ass heroine faces her greatest threat yet. In book 3 of this exciting urban fantasy series the world now faces the same destruction Atlantis faced. Well we know Atlantis was wiped out, but as it turns out it didn't sink; instead it was pulled into another dimension by a rift ripping apart the barrier between the human and demonic realms. This rift has now made a second appearance and it is again Celia's duty, destiny and just plain bad luck (mmm the death curse raising its ugly head?) to be the right person to save the day.

The love triangle (or should that be square?) is thoroughly entertaining as Celia tries to come to terms with her attraction to both Bruno and Creede. There's also another man that has snagged her interest, and of course there's a certain demon still lurking around. The story line is intense as Celia and her group of loyal friends face increasingly bad odds in their battle to save the world. There is a rather poignant moment in the final chapters as a sacrifice is made, but the plot is predominantly tense and explosive, with unexpected brief moments of humour. Celia continues to be one heck of a heroine with her interesting life and her heart warming relationships with those she loves. I've thoroughly enjoyed the 3 books available in the "Blood Singer" series and it now seems like a very long wait until book 4 is published March 2012.
