I would recommend this book for getting to grips with the technical terms of marketing, and for getting extra ideas in marketing techniques. You will still need marketing experience and skills to become a marketer but would be a great tool for a sales person who wants to understand a bit more about marketing.

yes yes I know, its supposed to be "basic" but it really is, and I don't think it actually helps you that much. The only thing I will say is the pages are not littered with lots of text so its easy to read but its very broad, so don't expect a lot from it

I don't really know what to say about this. It's probably very dated now. It's a book on marketing and it's basic and easy to follow. It will help a novice gain some knowledge or it can serve as a reference book for someone who studies business studies at level 3 or even level 4.
