I love this book, before buying it, I could not understand what all the technicalities of digital cameras are about. Now I know, and this book makes you understand everything that you need to know to start using a digital camera. It also gives you great tips and ideas on how to take a great photo and how to adjust the settings of your camera to perfection. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is thinking about buying and using a digital camera.

1. Have you recently bought a Digital camera?
2. Are you tired with washing out the films and printing them..and want to get to the Digital Medium for Photography?
Digital Photography for Dummies is for you.
The Dummies book speaks about basics of Digital Photography, and is absolutely impressive, as all the Dummies Series Editions, in the language and presentation. Anyone who has a basic understanding of Photography, will get a good idea of the Digital Version of Photography, and How-to's of getting the best out of Digital Camera.
For those who haven't yet got their Digital Cam yet, but wish to - Chapter 3 is your guide. Decide the Cam based on your exact requirements and the recommendations presented here, and You're sure to get it right.
The basic techniques of performing all adjustments to fine tune your Digital Photos are clearly summarized. Flash Adjustments, Lighting Arrangements, Exposure Control are all very clearly explained. "Focus on Focus" is pretty good and in depth.
The book also explains moving the shots to the Computer Medium, and maintaining them as albums pretty well. The Common Picture File Formats are well explained, with tips to tune each element of the Photo, using Software Applications. People who prefer to have 'Hard' Photos on hand can find all the print techniques required to generate the closest Print Version of the Digital Collection. Chapter 10 which speaks about Some basic Shooting Techniques is the most impressive QuickReference, exposing the 'Secrets of the Trade' - Just put them to work, and you'll find yourself picking a 'Professional' touch!
So...If you're on for Digital Imaging...Here's your First Bible....Happy Clicking!

I was not very happy with the state of this book. I ordered it as 'new' when in actual fact it was very dirty looking and dog eared.I will not recommend this seller to any of my friends. I feel as though I have been duped. Very dishonest seller.

Been using a digi camera for quite a few years and knew I was not getting the best out of it. This book, although a bit dated, is excellent. 2nd hand but in pristine condition. Suspect it was never used as enclosed cd has never been opened.
