Johnson & Duberley provide what I believe is a seminal textbook on ontology and epistemology in management research. A deeply insightful book, which reads esoterically but nonetheless it usefully challenges the reader to step up and think more reflexively. I would recommend this book for Phd and Doctoral students

Some great points made in this book; such a shame that its written in such a manner that normal people require to read it with a dictionary by their side. A case of precise academic havering creating a haar over the message.

This is one of the best Research Philosophy book you can even come across in terms of its coverage and its apprehensiveness. I read it from start to finish and I can tell you that it is highly readable and extremely useful.

The book provides an understanding to management research by revealing the hidden theoretical perspectives useful to researchers.

I will recommend it to academics, students and researchers.
