This review is from: Handbook of Mixed Methods in Social & Behavioral Research (Hardcover)
Having studied qualitative and quantitative research methods separately during my Masters Degree, I somewhat naively embarked on a mixed methods project for my PhD in Nursing Studies. Little did I know the complexities that are involved and the debate surrounding what Tashakkori and Teddlie describe as a paradigm on its own. This handbook however has (and continues) to provide me with an invaluable introduction and guidance through conducting a mixed methods project, supported by insights into the views of Pragmatic philosophy and examples of research studies carried out.

I am so grateful this handbook has been published and that it has been done in a manner that is stimulating and challenging, yet within the reach of more novice researchers.
