5.0 out of 5 stars Vital for 100% Completion, 9 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Metroid Prime Trilogy: Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides) (Paperback)
This guide is essential if you are trying to find every secret in these games and the checklists prevent you from missing anything. I was a little dissapointed that there wasn't a bestiary for the many creatures in the games but that's just my personal preference.

The book is divided into three sections, one for each game which makes it easy to find the section you are struggling with. In addition to discovering all the pickups, the guide will also list all of the scans, ensuring that you don't miss any rare entries.

This book was very helpful in finally beating these games 100% ( something I'd never been able to do!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick, to the point and well arranged., 21 Oct 2010

I usually prefer to discover every secret a game has to offer by myself but when the developers make it hard and give you just one try after which it is either to start again or get over it, a guide comes in handy.
The Metroid Prime Trilogy has over 300 secret items and log book data to discover and the guide manages perfectly to help you find those quick and easy.
Wether you prefer to follow the guide and maps which explains in detail where to find every hidden object or you skip to the end of the guide with complete check lists of everything that can be found, you are sure to find what you are looking for. I especially liked the tick boxes included in the lists, which help you to keep up with what you have already found and what you still need.
The design is efficient and appealing but by no means as stunning as for example a Final Fanasy guide would be.
Though this would only be important to die hard collectors (like me ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most fun i have had in ages, 30 Aug 2010
This review is from: Metroid Prime Trilogy: Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides) (Paperback)
The Most fun i have had in ages very thrilling sometimes even spine chilling but not too scary mostly the third one coruption was my fave but the other two are very good whitch is odd for a trilogy of games usually either the first on is good and others are lacking or the other way round but not here, metroind rocks the whole way though and it can take a long time to fiish the game unlike some other games which i can finish in a week or even a few days, there are harder modes and even multi-player which i must try oh and lets not forget ridley i think mr scott would be proud do share his name with such a persistant monster.
