I am Spanish (Spain) and this means we have great cuisine. I gave up long ago looking for a good cook book of America's most favourite dishes. Not only do I think this is the best cook book I have ever come into, but also makes you realize how simple it is to cook and how great the recipies described taste. There is no place for mistakes, even my dog could cook if it had hands. My colleague's father sent it from the US as a present for her husband and now it has become a present for our friends all over the world. I simply love it.

This book is good - not just for recipes, but for a general understanding of food - how to prepare it, how to store it etc,
even though it is an american book - a section at the front gives you weight conversions for '1 cup' measurements.
I have used some of the recipes and they are yummy....
...my favourite would be the microwave glazed carrots...mmmm
