I would highly recommend this book to anyone!,

This review is from: Kid's Paper Airplane Book (Paperback)
I bough this book for my 9 year old son last Christmas. He absolutely loves it and has spent hours cutting the planes out making the airplanes and shariing them with other children. This book also makes great gifts for boys especially his age. He has brought this book to school and all his class mates love it, girls included.

I bought this book for my 4 year old so that we would have fun together making the planes... this book goes far further than that, it's information and the authors evident enthusiasm make it a complete tutorial for older children and the experimental flights and subsequent tweaks and amendments are hilarious and absorbing. A great book to get for children of any age!

I bought this as a resource for my class as I am a primary school teacher and we were studying flight. There are some teaching points on drag, thrust etc with good pictorials for children to understand. The planes were a really good starting point for the children to create their own airplanes out of paper and were able to create their own with ease after making those in this book! It really created a lot of enthusiasm for paper plane flying. There is a template in the book too which you can use to create certificates for those children who become expert plane 'inventors' and 'pilots'. Loved it...will buy one again for next year's class!

Colourful planes, but paper is too floppy and they don't fly,

This was very disappointing. Lots of planes which are very colourful, but they are fiddly to cut out and once you do they fly very poorly. Mostly, the paper is too floppy and they don't hold their shape. You are better off with one of the other paper aeroplane collections.

The diagrams were far too difficult to follow, different colours would have helped plus more step by step simple to follow pictures. As a novice I was no wiser, and no better at plane making.

Too complicated and paper too thin,
By
This review is from: Kid's Paper Airplane Book (Paperback)
I bought this for my 4 yr and old and I think its a little advanced. This wouldn't have been a problem as my husband was happy to make plans with him, but the paper is so thin that the airplanes once folded are no good for flying, they just crashed and crumpled. As a result it sits in the drawer and hasn't come out since Xmas. We'll try again soon but I wouldn't highly recommend it for anyone under 8 and even then the fun is more in the folding than the flying!
