I've been a fan of Peter's ever since I first read his work. He has a great style, sense of humour and a deeply twisted mind. The slight cross-over in these tales between fantasy & SF is a neat twist and his characters are human and believable. Even when they happen to be dragons. Well worth the read and I still have my fingers crossed that some perspicacious publisher will get him to write more. These characters live and breathe and are far more worthy of more tales than the cardboard-cut-out fantasy heroes of many of our more prolific writers. Proof that quality not quantity is what we really want in literature.
This has been slightly re-written from its first release so even if you have it it's worth a read to see how the author thought he could do it better with more experience under his belt (Horse Lord was his 1st novel).
Imaginative work from a master story-teller.
