3.0 out of 5 stars The steve Davis of golf writing....yawn
I read this after reading Nick Faldos autobiography as I was a big fan of both in the nineties and remember sitting up to watch the US masters when Sandy Lyle won so looked forward to a good read but was disapointed, it's frankly quite dull and has none of the interest or engaging writing that other golf writing has, it's just okay and that's as good as it gets...

5.0 out of 5 stars the quiet man if golf, 12 Aug. 2013

The quiet man of golf yes! but as far as British golfers go he started the domination of Europe over the Americans long before anybody else which I think many forget because faldo became so big.Sandy won both the open and masters before faldo which did seem to make the rest realise We can win and we will win.Without doubt one of the best golf books I have read especially when I can remember watching him in Bradford at the Lawrence Batley international in the early 1980s where he was overshadowed by Americans Zoeller Hinkle Trevino and Palmer as appearance money guests and quietly beat them all 2 years running
