5.0 out of 5 stars A thorough book on landscape design, 7 Jan. 2011
This book presents a deeper discussion on the principles of design and landscape design than many other books I have read on the subject, and the explanations are very clear. I also especially appreciate the sections on how to plan an area for reforesting - how to plan an area from scratch to create a viable, ecologically diverse woodland on large areas of land, or on a smaller scale. I would recommend this book to anyone considering a career in landscape design or landscape architecture as our public outdoor spaces and private gardens will benefit from your having read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good discussions on design, 12 Nov. 2007
This is one of the few books that actually have some discussions on the design aspect of Planting Design. It involves colors, form and shapes of plants and spatial arrangement. Good discussions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Protective rubber mat for boot space landrover discovery, 10 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Planting Design Handbook (Hardcover)
My discovery is well used I bought this product to protect the carpet in the boot, I got fed up with using the vacuum cleaner, it's much easier to shake the mat. It arrived in good time and well packed. It was folded to the size of approx 2'x2', easy to unfold and lay in the boot. It appears to be hand cut to accommodate the exact template of the boot. The rubber smell is quite strong! It's a fraction of the price of the landrover rubber mat and so far it's been very good.
