4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Regency Tale, 9 May 2007
By
This review is from: Way of the World (Hardcover)
This book is closer to Georgette Heyer than to Jane Austen, but none the less enjoyable for that.

However this is the same book under a different name, "Mr Darcy's Daughters". It seems to have been an earlier edition.

I recommend the books of Elizabeth Aston as they are well written and I read all four as soon as I received them in the post!

4.0 out of 5 stars In for a treat, 24 Sep 2012
This review is from: Way of the World (Hardcover)
This is the second book in the 'Darcy' series that Elizabeth Aston has written and she has yet to disappoint. It was very different to the first one I read, although I recognised several of the characters. Sometimes when you read too many books in a series too soon after you've read one they pall. Not this. You are in for a treat. Elizabeth Aston is an extremely accomplished weaver of tales and keeps your attention until the very last page.
