5.0 out of 5 stars A triumph in ORIGINALITY and TERROR in the horror genre!, 30 Nov 1999

Anne Rice and Stephen King move over and make room for a new star in the horror field.Kim Wilkins sizzles with a unique plot [no beat up vampires in velvet]and captivating characters [I love Lisa Sheehan]and a story line that takes you from 16th century England into the present day.Give the Devil his due? Not in this book. To say anymore would take away from one of the BEST horror novels of the 90's...

4.0 out of 5 stars Chilling Read for Halloween!, 3 Nov 2010
This review is from: The Infernal (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this on Halloween and could not put it down. The wind and rain were hammering outside and my cat was on the bed with me. Scared myself half to death. It has all the ingredients of a thoroughly chilling read that will stay with you long after you have finished the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 7 Nov 2006
This review is from: The Infernal (Mass Market Paperback)
This was the first time I had read any books by Kim Wilkins and I was not disappointed.

It was fantastic. You are automatically hooked after the first couple of pages and I just couldnt put it down. If you are interested in history, reincarnation, the dark and mysterious it is definately the book for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Witchcraft in the 20th century via Elizabethan England, 10 April 1999

Absolutely brilliant. Not usually my kind of reading - this one turned up at the office and I gave it a shot.
Mesmorizing to say the least as the author bounces you back and forth between two completely different worlds.
I missed my tube stop more than once ....highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Seductive, Creepy and Magic, 28 Nov 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Infernal (Mass Market Paperback)
Kim Wilkins could rewrite the telephone directory and I would probably be glued to it. The Infernal is a brilliant read. Love Lisa Sheehan, and like all of Kim's books, she captures different time periods expertly. Having been around the band scene a lot, the modern day parts of The Infernal are engrossing, but the seventeenth century parts are also page turners! I'm actually re-reading this book because I loved it so much! I've seen the media Kim has done and she's a glamarous brunette who is a great writer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A superb debut novel from Kim Wilkins., 14 July 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Infernal (Mass Market Paperback)
Kim Wilkins' debut novel is superb and well worth investing in. Very well written with a few chilling passages that will live in the memory for some time. This book was impossible to put down and caused one or two late nights whilst reading it. Kim Wilkins is a name to watch out for. This was probably the best debut novel that I have read in some twenty years. Roll on novel number two!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating reading!, 27 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Infernal (Mass Market Paperback)
Kim Wilkins' debut novel is nothing short of extraordinary. Her talent as a storyteller, combined with her astute knowledge of what makes people (from any century) tick, makes The Infernal a scorching, terrifying, engrossing and very sexy read. I've got my enthusiastic paws on Wilkins' second novel, Grimoire, and can't wait to see more from this incredible talent. The Infernal transcends every idea you have about genre fiction.
