An absolute must for not only Chelsea FC fans both past and present but also for anyone of a certain age looking back nostalgically to those free-wheeling days of the sixties when life seemed such an adventure. Greg Tesser's window into a past world is full of wonderful anecdotes, is written with great wit and the journey the reader is taken on at some pace is one that is more than worth the ride. I couldn't put it down.

This book is more like Greg Tesser's autobiography about his pill popping days in the 60s & 70s than a book about Chelsea. There are references to Ossie and a few about Charlie Cooke & Alan Hudson but no great inside knowledge about Chelsea

In the days of cloggers, comb-overs and woodbines, Tommy Doc turned Chelsea into a modern club which, continuing under Dave Sexton, played with a style and swagger totally in tune with the 60s. They seemed to put entertaining above winning, whether on the pitch or in local bars. We'll never see their like again. By the time I moved to London in '75, it was all over. Greg Tesser's fine book reminds us of the days when you didn't need to wear lime green boots and an alice band to stand out. Here's to Ossie, Hutch, Huddy and their team mates and thanks for nearly a decade of football played with panache.

An excellent read covering the era when Chelsea were cool long long before Dennis Wise, Gullit, Zola, Vialli, De Matteo, Lampard, John Terry & Jose Mourinho et al, Blue was most definetely the colour
in the 1960's and Osgood was king

Insightful on society culturally in transition with plenty on ChelseaFC from a man commercially involved with players, management and showbiz.

A present for my son to give to his dad for Father's day. The 60's was his era when he watched Chelsea play, so it's very nostalgic for him.

Ah! Great memories. Good job, Greg Tesser. Those were days when footballers were as glam as they are today but reachable and human.

Bought as a Christmas present. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. As my husband has many books on Chelsea this was a good find as it was one he didn't have
