Why do publishers/authors use the same content is consecutive books? This publication contains both photographs and text available in other books by Tim Bryan and that of other authors. Considering the size, longevity and uniqueness of the GWR, the wealth of information/photos is probably greater than any other named railway but is seldom expanded on. I must conclude that profit is the only factor that drives both author and publisher. Good story-line, new information, new photographs are obviously too much trouble to research so change the cover and the title and 'con' the reader. This practce is becoming more prelevant and is slowly choking the lifeblood from informative literature.
Tim Bryan is an excellent author - it is a shame that he has put his name to such an obvious 'con' .
I am being generous in rating this book at two stars.
