4.0 out of 5 stars Useful, but mainly text
Mainly text and some outdated examples, but the book is still very useful. The text makes you really consider your portfolio and its purpose and allows you to think up your own design for your portfolio, while discussing some important points.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too General, very disappointing!
It doesn't focused on academic portfolios and definitely it is not a handbook for students!. Too much text explaining the general aspects of entering a School of Architecture in many countries and continents... fair for the prospects looking for studying an Architecture course to get an idea how the coursework may look like and even give you some websites you may look...

Only in B&W, Graphics are too small, as a matter of fact, for a book that must talk about A1 or A0 presentation sheets, imagine those few samples sheets shown in a book that is a bit smaller than A5.

Great advice in this book, must say a lot of it is common sense, and if you've ever attended a talk about such things you will probably have heard most of it already. It is most specifically geared towards UK and US employment/unis/colleges but there are some great tips to be had too. Not a long read and very much to the point.
