To be honest with you the book blurb didn't fill me with confidence that this would be a title for me, especially as I was dropping in on Book Six of the series but that said there were some interesting concepts and idea's that were a lot of fun for me to explore as a reader. The lead character is one that will charm the reader in not only his old fashioned attitude but also as he has to learn how to cope with the world today from his old perspective and draw his own conclusions as he tries to marry his own prejudices with modern sensibilities.

It's quirky, it has some real moments of tension and of course the love aspect works pretty well throughout (although at times a little overly sentimental for me personally. Add to this a very well thought out plot, some cracking twists and of course something that will appeal to a broad spectrum of Urban Fantasy Romance readers. If the others in the series are constructed this well, I'll have to look into them when time allows.

This book is a serious emotional rollercoaster, i read the sample and had to buy this book to know what happen. To be frank i could have quite easily read a book based on Leah, i found her section of the book and the past when she met Adam to be one of the most engaging bit of writing i have read in a long while. I feel Frank has outdone herself with this book throwing us a curveball that i certainly did not expect, which made the book all the more apealling, it was heart-wrenching to read about such a hopeless future and witness Leah in so much pain that she would risk everything she knows on a slim hope.

I find Adam to be an appealing hero so lost and confussed and yet funny and so willing to do whatever must be done to save his family, and Jasmine was not what i expected, we find that she was so cold in previous books and so tired of the world was because when Adam disappear he took all her happiness and lust for life. This idea, for me, makes the out of species matings that had only resently started to happen more real as it is evidence that out of species imprintings had to ability to happen in the period between the druids mass murder and their rediscovery, and it make you wonder what other mating might or should have happen.

This book is full of twists and turns that you will not expect and keeps you on your toes, we meet many of the past characters and some from the Shadowdweller series, and some from the future who have unknown origins, we met more of the Sirens and Bards and their scenes would suggest that they are going to play a larger role in the future and may attempt to get over their fears of other people. We also finally observe Ruth's end, which was definately not what i expected.

The only problem i have with this book is the time frame, Adam and Jasmine get together in 1 day, most of the book is taken up by Leah and the past and this leave little time for serious romance and it feels like they are more throuwn together due to their passion to hunt and kill Ruth, as such this book is not the most romantic but this is vastly made up for by the actually sotryline and for me is the best in the series and is a must read.

I absolutely loved this book! When I started reading it I thought this can't be happening, I thought Leah would go back in time and change it straight away but she didn't. I thought the storyline was excellent and unexpected. I loved how everything was brought together from the previous books in the series however, I still believe that the series should of continued. I'm going to miss it and wanted to see if Syreena and Damien had children and what they would be like or what Seth's power of Space did.

Adam was a strong, easy to like character and he was one of my favourite males next to Jacob and Damien. I already really liked Jasmine and it was nice to see a softer side of her. The love between Adam and Jasmine was developed beautifully from the past to the present even though it did seem a bit far fetched for a day. All in all the book was brilliantly written.

Let me start by saying I really enjoyed this book. The beginning shocked me, there was tears and I very nearly threw my kindle at the wall at one point... I trust Jacki though, so I picked it back up and continued reading. I'm glad I did.

Adam was an interesting addition to the Nightwalkers and I enjoyed catching up with everyone. I'm sad to see the series end...

Really enjoyed this installation - brought most of the plot lines together, full of lust and love and I really enjoyed reading it right down to the conclusion.
Good pace throughout, still - Gideon has to be the best book in the series!
