4.0 out of 5 stars Back to the good old Blue Peter annual, 1 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Blue Peter Book 31 (Annual) (Hardcover)
The latest Blue Peter Book for 2002 is as usual a collection of the best bits from the previous year's series. Book 31 is better than recent ones in as much as there's more to read and find interesting. Veteran Konnie Huq is again joined by Simon Thomas and Matt Baker and new presenter Liz barker in providing 'makes', 'bakes' and features derived from the world's longest running children's programme.
Liz joins a group of firefighters and shows off the programme's badge collection. Konnie displays the new Millennium Royal Crown designed by a BP viewer as Matt displays new pet, Meg. Simon, meanwhile, presents a series of photos of his and Matt's trip to San Fransisco as well as baking Apple Layer cake.
In true BP tradition, you can find plenty to make out of a grocery carton - in this case, a football game and try your hand at Konnie's magic tricks.
A real back to basics BP Annual celebrating all that is good about the phenomenonly popular Children's BBC series. The one letdown of this book is the lack of coverage of Bonnie the dog's death (even though she left in 1998) and gardener Clare Bradley's departure.
Otherwise, a hugely educational and enjoyable read.

The lastest Blue Peter book is the usual and brilliant mix of features and information from the programme. Also lots of great photo's of all the presenters , I also enjoyed the article about behind the scenes it allow a interesting insight into what goes into making the prograame and the films they make. I have enjoyed this book and I hope that others will too. I am long time fan of the programme so I am a little bised towards the programme.
