A lovely book, but disappointed with the cover.

This is a lovely book for children from about age 2 upwards (my son enjoys it and he's 4). It features short sentences with lovely bright and bold illustrations, typical of Dick Bruna. It's a good length - not too long, not too short - perfect for a bedtime story. I already had this book, but thought I would buy this version for the lovely cover. The cover is well made, and has an embroidered motif of Miffy on the front. It is popular with my children. However, I was disappointed, as I thought the cover would be an integral part of the book - whereas it is a slipcover, meaning the book can be removed from it. I guess in a way though this could be a good thing, as if it gets dirty then you could clean it. I was just expecting it to be 'attached' to the book.
However this is still a great story for a young child, although not my favourite Miffy book.
