A very nice road atlas. Printed on quality, glossy paper with a paper dust jacket. I originally purchased the AA spiral bound edition in the same scale as this edition (the one with the black background cover). But, I found it difficult for my eyes to make the jump across the spiral's gap between the pages, and match up correctly with the road on the page opposite. So, I ordered this hardback edition to deal with that problem. The map fits on the page in exactly the same way as the spiral bound, and because it's a hardback, the heavy pages aren't flopping about. I'd recommend it, especially over the spiral bound versions of the AA road maps.
Very nicely presented leather-bound atlas updated with current mapping. Each page is titled with a broad description of the area covered, which is helpful if you are looking quickly for somewhere, and there are plenty of additional resources such as very clear town/city plans, tourist and other key destinations such as services and airports, as well as postcode links that you can use for satnavs. Mapping is good and clear, OS 3.2 miles to the inch standard, and I am very pleased with what is a very well finished, user-friendly and comprehensive source of information all in one place. I have the 2010 version that has been well used but still looks good as new, which bodes well for this edition
Great maps but smaller scale than our older version which was disappointing, however lots of additional really useful information such as lots of town plans, city plans and airport plans so overall a good product.
As UK road atlases go, there really isn't anything better to invest your money in. Having used floppy spiral bound atlases in the past and found them to be flimsy and prone to pages coming adrift, this hardback atlas from the AA is excellent. I'm very happy with this atlas and being from the AA, who better to provide an up to date and comprehensive map of the UK's roads. My copy was dispatched promptly by Wordery and was securely packaged.
