I have given away about a dozen copies of this little book over the last 3 years as end-of-term prizes for year 6 children - a good basic introduction with short phrases and not too babyish for lower secondary pupils either. The cover is the most colourful part but it's good value for money.

This is the best phrase book we've seen. Our French friends were amazed at the "real" French it gave, unlike so much of the text book style language in phrase books. The phonetic pronunciation guide is fantastic; our 9 year old was able to use it with her friends to extend her range of conversation in minutes. Great fun for us all!

It's a colourful phrase book, written in a way which engages well with kids. Good phonetic translations with the correct French and English. The topics are useful for kids and cover many of the areas they are interseted in. Hopefully they will want to take it with them and use it on our next trip to France.

A useful product and good value, but the phonetic pronunciation is how an 'Eastender' would speak French.
French should be spoken with a French accent, not that of a Londoner who has difficulty making French sounds.
