Essential info missing

The guide includes a map: there are nearly NO street names signs in Istanbul, making the map pretty useless: the guide doesn't mention it. The guide also doesn't prepare you for the incessant pestering by street vendors, or advise single women about the nearly aggressive "guides" who targer them near the tourist attractions. It tries to sell Istanbul rather than inform, hence no mention of the near starving stray dogs which are everywhere, or that taxi drivers and sellers are trying to cheat you on a rather regular basis. The AA format of 25 must-seen highlights for every city guide forced the author to dig very deep, and he came out with some weird must sees (go to the Mosaic "museum' which contains fragments of ONE mosaic only and see for yourself).
