This book is a great resource for any marketer or business owner who wants practical support in getting the word out and the sales in. I particularly like the guidance on creating a 'valuable website' and the quiz at the back is a great ready reckoner for anyone who's new to content marketing. Have this to hand and you'll never be stuck for stuff to say - moreover, you'll never be stuck for something to say that people actively want to listen to, engage with and use. And, when that happens you'll see the results as bigger, better and more sustainable customer relationships.

This book is essential for any business wanting to be seen as the experts in their field. As someone who uses content marketing more and more to grow the businesses I work with, this book has provided so many good ideas to take on board and works as a great `how-to' guide.

The approach suggested by this book is an altruistic one, seeking to change sales attitudes by asking "How can I help?" not "How can I sell?" Sharon and Sonja's advice is to give away as much knowledge and content as possible, which some might find difficult, but which is fast becoming the only way to get noticed amongst the volume of information now available online.

Backing this up are many great tips for how to go about creating that content, including checklists, tips and inspiration for blogs, newsletters, whitepapers and even e-books.

This book will be helpful to anyone seeking to understand and be part of the shift from advertising in a traditional agency sense, to content-focused marketing, which has been embraced not just by SMEs, but also by large corporations like Coca Cola.

It dispels any fears you might have about getting your views and knowledge out there, and shows you how to provide your target audience with true value, that will keep them listening and make sure you're the go-to person in your field. Highly recommended!

I work as a content marketer and content strategist, so I'm always keen to read new books on the subject.

This is one of the best I've read. It's practical, useful and easy to read, with plenty of good examples of best practice.

It's an especially useful book if you're looking for clear insights into how to produce quality content that furthers your business goals and meets your users' needs.

Recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about this vital digital marketing trend.

The book is called Valuable Content Marketing and it does itself contain lots of valuable content. As a 'part-time' marketing director for a professional firm I found it a very useful handbook. It's approach to marketing is, if you stop to think about it, intuitive and to some extent perhaps obvious, but sometimes it is the obvious which needs stating and explaining. A very useful book and well worth the price for all those dealing with marketing within a business.

I've simply lost count of the ideas this book has given me. It tells you a story about how to approach your marketing in a refreshing new way, challenging the norms and providing many examples to backup the theory. I instantly changed many aspects of my marketing approach and have already benefitted from the results. Anyone who hasn't read it yet will be missing a big box of tricks!

Sadly this book seems to be symptomatic of a lot of pretty un- (not in-) valuable content about content marketing out there. I bought this expecting to be inspired, but pretty much everything in this book (and a whole lot more) is freely available on any good content marketing blog.

I'm afraid you lost me with the 'valuable tip': "keep it short and sweet on Twitter". Hmmm.

This is a generalist volume written by someone who displays shallow knowledge of the subject.
It might be useful for a novice who's just keen to pass a couple of hours reading something not so taxing.

Please put your money to better use by donating it to charity.
