This book I would definatly give a 10/10. I love it and I would reccommend it to ages 12 to 17.With the main character Jess (who is unperfect like most of us) and best friends Flora and Fred, well lets just say, a complicated love life awaits her...

After I read the first few pages of this book in Waterstone's I thought it was going to be a brilliant book.Funny and excellently describing the feelings of a teenager. However when I took it home and read it, I was really dissapointed. The title of this book shouldn't be 'Girl, 15' but maybe 'Girl,10' because she doesn't sound like a 15-year-old at ALL. You can't CHOOSE who you fancy, it just happens. You can't say 'oh, I'm going to fancy this rock now because there are no boys around'. Also so little happened in the book. It felt like one chapter only descirbed a conversation at breakfast. After every chapter I thought about putting this book down and starting another book (New Moon) because it got so boring most of the time. But I'm not the kind of person who does that and I sort of always think that there might be hope in whatever book. I won't buy any more books by this author though. |
