I hate books like this... another Emperor's New Clothes of the 'intelligent cartoons' variety that has pretensions of depth. Lots of poor drawings and the lack of anything real or meaningful or new to say, wrapped in the psuedo-pyschology that even a 12 yr-old would find tedious!
How does stuff like this get published? Save your money!

'Both' is a peach of a book to have kicking around your lounge or bedroom. Both Tom Gauld and Simone Lia contribute some absolute gems to the book, from Gauld's bickering knights living in the middle of nowhere, to Lia's sweetcorn kernel and Fluffy, the rabbit / child who now stars in its own series of comics (part 2 just came out, though at the moment they are only available through the author's website). I've had mine for a few months and when people come round and have to sit waiting for me to find my house keys before going out I normally find them flicking through it and having a good laugh. Can't wait to see more from these guys.
