MORE OF THE SAME OLD......, 28 Sep 2003
By A Customer
How on Earth has this series become the publishing sensation it has? Book 1 is OK but nothing outstanding and Book 2 had me yawning 1/3 of the way through. Good luck to J K-she's on a winner.....for kids, but why has Potter mania affected the world's adult readership?

This book is wildly over-rated, 25 April 2000
By A Customer
I thought Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone was quite a good book for little children, but the sequel is not particularly endearing. Harry Potter became my best imginary friend in the Philosopher's stone, but the Chamber of Secrets presents him as a completely different character who is almost loathsome. Perhaps the Harry Potter story should have died with the first book

This book is horrid!, 8 Nov 1999
By A Customer
This book was not good at all. Parents are reading this book even more than the kids are! This is a child's book, and isn't an interesting one at that. Whatever happened to Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle or The Hobbit? This book prooves that our world is getting dumber and dumber. Do NOT read this book because it is a waste of tree.

The worst in the series, 17 May 2003
By A Customer
possible the worst book in the series so far. She's relies on the characters doing stupid stuff to create the tention and plot. If I were you I would skip to the next book that is much much better.

Make sure you read the book..., 10 Sep 2000
By A Customer
Make sure you read the book before you allow your youngster to read. For some reason, the author felt it necessary to include cursing in the books content. I counted 10 uneccessary words. It is sad that our society feels the need to include these words in childrens books. Not that the words are not part of the language we speak, but that they are the type of words we use to express our ingnorance.
