A lovely book - but the same author also produced a much better version
on 22 September 2009
This is a very nice little book of 16 well known carols - nicely illustrated with clear melody lines and lyrics. (Use the 'search inside' function to see a sample).
HOWEVER, Stephen Cartwright produced another book for Usborne in conjunction with Heather Amery. Confusingly, it has almost the same title (THE USBORNE BOOK CHRISTMAS CAROLS) and in my opinion that is a MUCH better buy. For any young child or, indeed, anyone who wants a book of 29 favourite carols for which you have full lyrics, music (melody line and separate chord accompaniment) as well as guitar chords (showing chord names and shapes)that HAS to be a book worth getting. In the 32 page version you only get chord names and not shapes.
It's all a matter of what you want or need, but in my view there is really only one choice.
