4.0 out of 5 stars very good and, more importantly, very balanced, 28 Aug. 2002

As usual, Jonathan Wolff presents the material very clearly. Like most, Wolff is very critical of Nozick's Anarchy, State and Utopia, and makes clear the defects in Nozick's arguments. Unlike some philosophers, however, Wolff also makes a point of stressing the importance of Nozick's work, as presenting a very serious challenge to Rawls, egalitarians and marxists.
Wolff begins the first chapter by stating "Looking over the arguments of the last three chapters, one might be led to entertain the illusion that there is little of real worth in Nozick's political philosophy", but then replies, "In fact, few have done more than Nozick to show that competing political philosophies are open to serious criticism, and a great deal of Nozick's importance lies in his waking others from their dogmatic slumbers."
Absolutely right.
P.S. Also recommended is Reading Nozick, edited by J. Paul.

This review is from: Robert Nozick: Property, Justice and the Minimal State (Key Contemporary Thinkers) (Paperback)
I used it to write a paper on Nozick. Best explanation of the material I have read. Would recommend to anyone studying the issue or generally wanting to investigate libertarianism.
