It went with what I was going to teach. The children enjoyed it looking at it and it went well.

This is a pretty picture book with few words. It is basically a collection of pictures of collages based on an Australian rain forest. Although the pictures are pretty and very well constructed there is not really enough striking content in them to hold a child's attention for more than a couple of minutes. The suggestion that the large edition of the book is suitable for classroom use is somewhat limited by the absence of any accompanying notes explaining or discussing the books contents. Remember, the teacher is likely to be as unfamiliar with a rain forest as the children.

Haven't started reading this yet, but will get stuck into it this new Autumn term. I am sure it is going to be as entertaining as the illustrations and pictures are bright and colourful.

Lovely story , book in very good condition. Used it in school as part of other cultures . Children loved the story too and I will use it again next year.

Love Jeannie Baker books and this one is of her usual high quality - excellent discussion starting point in class.
