1.0 out of 5 stars Achievements list? Ummm not in this book...
Will keep this short and sweet - if you've played the game and are considering getting a guide, the chances are it's to assist you in getting all the achievements/trophies (personally I wanted a check-list for the Research side of things in order to see what I'd missed on the first play through). Well sadly there isn't any mention of achievements/trophies...

5.0 out of 5 stars After some 20 years or so, time to kick some alien ass again ;-), 27 Oct 2012
This review is from: XCOM: Enemy Unknown Official Strategy Guide (Official Strategy Guides (Bradygames)) (Paperback)
The original X-COM game back in the days, used to be so great, so awesome, and I still found myself trying to play it some few years back although its a bit hard on the newer Windows machines.

This version though, not only are the graphics updated, but most the game-play has been preserved to the original, although there are a minor few cavets in it.

One such thing I don't like is the ability to not host multi-skyrangers in different continents. It may seem trivial, but I did like having different skilled people in different regions of the globe.

All-in-all though an excellent game, and its one I am going to enjoy for many years to come.

If you want a booster, and I am on easy mode, then try these names for your combat troops:- Joe Kelly, Ken Levine, Otto Zander and Sid Meier and watch your troops really kick ass :-D

Hopefully in time i won't have to rely on such talents to suppress the aliens :-o

Have fun, and kick some gray ass before they come for real ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good I'm told,, 11 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: XCOM: Enemy Unknown Official Strategy Guide (Official Strategy Guides (Bradygames)) (Paperback)
I bought this game for my dads birthday and he's still playing it regularly, he is really enjoying it despite some old hardcore fans being annoyed by some of the changes, that's just expected though.
