4.0 out of 5 stars And he should know
Richard Cole was Led Zeppelin's tour manager. He got them out of trouble. He often also helped them into trouble in the first place, but that is why he has the credentials to write a book like this. He was there. He participated. He was a partner in crime. And I like the fact that this guy never once created the impression that he was exaggerating.
I enjoyed reading...

1.0 out of 5 stars yuck
Some of this book is true, some of it not true, some of it Cole knew not to be true and some he simply can't remember. When Robert Plant mentioned it to him, he looked sheepish and said "some of it is true, you know." 3.0 out of 5 stars not all true, who cares? It's entertaining rock mythology, 20 Oct. 2012
This review is from: Stairway to Heaven (Paperback)
I never thought being a tour manager would make you a great author

I enjoyed this book not to learn the truth behind the myth. I'm sure if you asked all of Led Zeppelin to
write their own acount, they would all differ. If anyone could remember anything I would be dissapointed

worth a read, then read everyone elses books too

A detailed, warts 'n all account from the inside track.
A great read for Zep fans who like their tales of rock 'n roll excess.
Also interesting from the angle of a document from a rock era that no longer exists, an era before AIDS, planetary awareness and, post credit-crunch, monetary prudence.
