This was my first MHC and I was really looking forward to it. I honestly can't say I was very impressed.
The book had a few exciting moments but didn't really grab me as I was expecting.
I like to get into the characters but found that I wasn't really that interested. I neither liked nor disliked them so wasn't that bothered what happened to them.
The start was promising, but I couldn't make out why, for a murderer who gets his kicks from strangling his victims and was clearly itching to do the same to our heroine, suddenly decided that a bomb would be better? To cover his tracks maybe, but why not make sure she and the little boy whose eyes had apparently haunted him, weren't dead first?
I gather from the reviews that this isn't the usual MHC style so I will try another of her books and maybe she'll win me over.
