I've been interested in tarot reading for many years, but have never found cards that I felt totally at ease with, until that is, I was given these cards by my partner as a christmas present!.
As soon as I opened these cards I felt uplifted, the illustrations make you smile and feel filled with joy, but not only did I find them enchanting to look at, I found that the stories the cards unfolded were so easy to interpretate. An absolute must for anyone finding they can't read or are uncomfortable with cards they are currently using.

If, like me, you're a fan of Froud's work, then this is a must-have. I've not been wildly impressed by the slightly silly direction some of his recent work has taken - LADY COTTINGTON, and STRANGE SMELLS, for example - but I do love these weird quirky little creatures he draws.
Now there is a deck of 66 of them (well, 65, with a blank card). Some of the cards are abstract, but the vast majority are classic Froud. Various styles of the artist's work are represented, ranging from the almost monochrome pencil sketches to his trademark pics that seem to be bursting at the seams with fairies.
You'll find some old favourites in the illustrations ('The Fairy who was kissed by the Pixies' is one of mine) and other old friends from 'Good Fairies, Bad Fairies.'
As for the divination side of things, the deck is accompanied by a beautifully produced hardback book (200 pages) written by Jessica Macbeth (Author of books on meditation MOON OVER WATER and SUN OVER MOUNTAIN). It covers topics such as making faerie contacts, how the deck was created, and suggested methods of reading the cards, together with informative (and fun) discussions of the individual illustrations.
Unlike COTTINGTON and SMELLS, this is a serious book - er, as 'serious' as anything concerning faerie can be, that is...
To quote from the first section of the book: "First take a good look at your attitude. Are you really serious about this? Do you believe you will need to work hard with the cards?
"If so, please, don't be like that . As much as you can, let yourself approach the cards and the faeries with a light and playful heart."
I recommend this package with no reservations. Even if you feel it's not for you, it's hard to think of a better gift for a Froud fan, for someone who's into divination, or for any lover of faeries!

I bought these cards for myself as a little birthday treat and WOW, I am so glad I did! I've loved Froud's work for some time now, since coming across one of his older books in a thrift shop one day and buying it on a whim. He has an amazing insight and a true gift, with his art and perception of fae.

I read tarot and oracles on a regular basis and always look out for exceptional decks to make my readings more beautiful and enjoyable and since buying these, they have become my absolute favourite. I now shuffle every morning and pick a card to give me a little guidance for the day. The cards are honest, amusing, uplifting and most importantly - accurate.

I have asked these cards many questions during the daily shuffle, from questions about myself and my future to questions about my boyfriend and my friends and family and each and every time the cards have given me an amazingly accurate reply. If you have ever wanted to try to read tarot or oracles - begin here! The (beautiful) book that comes with the deck will guide you carefully and gently into the process and within a matter of minutes, you will feel better informed and more confident.

I find that the sheer artistry of the cards themselves is what helps you to memorise their message/advice and though committing all details to memory is NOT mandatory, it can make things easier. The deck also includes a blank card upon which you may sketch your own faerie guide - a unique touch to an oracle deck I have never seen before, but something original that I really like.

Don't hesitate - try them. I am SO glad I did.

Whether you are a beginning oracle reader or an accomplished sage, you'll find this book and card set are a pure delight.
The 200-plus page text by Jesa MacBeth skillfully weaves the reader into a faery tapestry of pure energy, divine spirits and absolute fun. For those readers whose experience has been limited to traditional Tarot, be prepared for an adventurous excursion into the enchanting world of faeries, including their incredible sense of humor!
MacBeth's explanation of faeries, their world and their feelings about humans are an education for those of us new to their realm. If you feel some trepidation in launcing into this oracle, don't! The book gently guides you every step of the way - - and believe me, the faeries will be cheering every step of your journey.
The art work, of course, is superb. Froud fans will love the unique faces and garb of his oracle population. Of the many groups of cards, my absolute favorites were "The Singers of the Realms" - - abstract paintings which depict the most beautiful, life-filled energy you'll see in an oracle. I don't think there's a card in the deck I like more that "She of the Cruach" - - the Great Goddess of nurturing energy.
When your deck arrives, sit down with a cup of hot tea. a biscuit for unseen guests, and an open heart. This is one oracle you'll return to time and again - - it speaks directly to the heart.

Without doubt a beautiful thing to own or to give. The cards are beautifully illustrated and the book itself is written in such a warm and friendly fashion, full of really helpful ways to use and look at the cards. You really feel tempted to frame the whole set, it's a joy to own.

I was given this as a birthday present. At first, i thought these were really odd images and not the kind of faeries one would expect. I wasn't sure i was going to use it, because it was so strange.
When i started using it (years later), i realised that it was a bonus. The cards are energy and each faerie represents a type of energy that one can relate to. The images embody the entities they portray. There are no fluffy cards or frilly stuff.
This is painting and telling it like it is. The images are intriguing and compelling. They draw us in. The faeries are blunt and they have no qualms in telling you things you don't want to face.
These cards are incredibly accurate. This is the most accurate deck i have until now. I ordered a few decks recently and i have to try them out, to see if they as accurate as this one.
I had doreen virtue fairy cards, fairy tarot decks and fairy oracles, but none of them could compare to these, so i gave them all to friends who wanted them.
These cards have great quality and a nice sheen to them. They are thick enough and slightly bigger (12,7 cm high and 7,6 cm wide) than normal tarot deck cards.
The book that comes with this set is amazing. It's a hardcover with thick paper of great quality that reminds me of the old books.
The knowledge packed in those pages is incredible. The divination meanings are spot on and there is in depth information about each card as well as spreads and meditation techniques.
This is the best Faerie Oracle set out there and the only one you will ever need.
