5.0 out of 5 stars Super
Super Reference book. But, expected the writer to write book in more detail fashion because its a reference book. Also, as it doesn't talks in much detail I need to refer many other material to cross verify whether the writer's view point is correct or not. A word to the writer - "Anyone can publish books with any viewpoints in it. But, when you are trying to publish...

2.0 out of 5 stars not very helpful for sharing the Good News with Catholics
This book is part of series of "how to witness" books by Ron Rhodes. I am not a fan of this kind of books, as I believe that the help of the Holy Spirit is sufficient when witnessing, but I have to say that the installments on Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons are worth reading. In my opinion, it is not the case with this work on Catholicism.

The book uses a question and answer format, presenting all the peculiar doctrines of the Catholic Church that did not originate from the Scriptures and give biblical answers to prove them wrong.
I have quite a vast knowledge of Catholicism as I was an active member of the church for 23 years, before converting to biblical Christianity, and I think that the average Catholic will not be bothered too much by most of these questions.
A few of the questions are very clever and might prove useful when dialoguing with your Catholic friends, but I believe that Catholicism is such a vast topic, and Catholics are so diverse around the world, that it requires a much more serious and deeper study to effectively share the Good News with them.
REMEMBER, THESE KIND OF BOOKS MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO GATHER INFORMATION, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO WITNESSING, THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL BE YOUR GUIDE. JESUS WILL GIVE YOU WORDS AND WISDOM IF YOU ASK HIM.

But, when you are trying to publish a book which talks about the most challenging discussions. Then it should be detailed to very minute information so that the reader need not do a duplication of your handwork. From the book I know you have done a good job in studying and writing it down. But, if you are not able to convey the full information which lead you many conclusion then this book is not complete. You might be worried about the page numbers, but don't worry, if its good then people will buy it unconditionally."

Thanks for selling this book.

Just another book which kids itself into thinking it can afford the luxury of criticising every faith, and being oblivious to the inconsistencies of its own. Just because everyone elses faith is wrong in your eyes Mr Rhodes, doesn't make your faith true....and by the way..it isn't.
