5.0 out of 5 stars superfoot system
This book is excellent for getting your fighting repotior up to scratch. bare in mind this is the super(foot) system, a system of southpaw fighting using only the lead weapons of your body, but any numbskull should be able to reverse to orthadox. It shows fighting tactics and how to fight bigger, slower, faster and smaller apponants. Defensive, aggresive, dancer types and...

5.0 out of 5 stars kumite 101, 5 May 2006
This review is from: Competitive Karate (Paperback)
A good instrutional book on the superfoot system.

After drilling some of the counters in this book I used them in competition, and only made it to the semi's by a carefully-timed counter scoring ippon, courtesy of this book.

You will never like/agree with every technique, but use it as a catalogue to shop for a technique that suits your style and frame.

After 18 years in karate, I have seen most of these techniques at one time or another, but you can always find something new if you look hard enough.

buy it.

well basically, ive been studying martial arts for over a year now and i purchased this book in the hope it could teach me to fight better and sadly it didnt.
The book shows step by step photographic drills to performing certain combinations and tactics.
Pretty much all of the photos show the man performing these moves in a southpaw stance which makes it extremely difficult for an orthodox fighter , like myself, to comprehend. Considering most fighters adapt an orthodox stance this makes it difficult for the most of us.
The other problem is that it shows these tactics as defensive, offensive and so on but the tactics are repeated again and again, making the book mind numbingly boring!
If you are looking to improve your fighting skills in martial arts then i would strongly recomend you to not purchase this book as you will be extremely dissapointed!
