I'm not a system administrator, but every now and agin find myself having to write batch scripts to automate some feature of windows. Previously this involved an hour or so battling with a search engine trying to find the syntax for what I need to do. No more...this book has proved an excellent pick up reference for achieving whatever I was looking to do. Part one "Command line fundamentals" is worth the entry fee alone for the infrequent script writer.

This book is worth its weight in uncut diamonds.
You obviously will want to use Powershell for advanced scripting, but simple sys admin routine stuff, this book makes life so easy, and allows you to automate many routine tasks.
