Review of "Fresh Bread in the Morning"
If like me, you have spent a number of years using the recipes supplied with your bread making machine, then you should really get a copy of this book. The difference is quite staggering. By using quality ingredients and avoiding the unnecessary use of such additions as dried milk powder, the improvement is truly dramatic. You will discover bread as it should taste, but...

Dissapointing for Panasonic owner
Having read other reviews I was interested to see the recipes in this book to see how I could reduce unnecessary salt, sugar etc. in my bread.
The recipes in the book are clear enough to use, but the format means you have to flick through to find the one you want.
I have a Panasonic breadmaker, and I have found that the basic bread recipes in...

Review of "Fresh Bread in the Morning", 14 Dec 2003
If like me, you have spent a number of years using the recipes supplied with your bread making machine, then you should really get a copy of this book. The difference is quite staggering.By using quality ingredients and avoiding the unnecessary use of such additions as dried milk powder, the improvement is truly dramatic. You will discover bread as it should taste, but which sadly is increasingly difficult to find commercially. The layout is clear and easy to use, and all the hard work has been done for you. If you have a bread making machine, you really should keep a copy of this book in your kitchen.

A little gem, 26 Feb 2007
For the price this book is great value for money.
The recipies are varied and so easy to make.
I was so surprised at how easy it was to make pitta bread by making the dough in the machine then oven cooking.
This book will give you some good ideas for breads and some you can adapt for your own tastes.

Fantastic Book, 27 Jan 2006
By A Customer
I have made several breads since recently buying this book, in a Panasonic SD253 breadmaker. They have all turned out well and taste great. I particularly like the use of natural ingredients and this book is helping me cater for a dairy-free diet.Definately worth purchasing!

Simple Idea, Brilliant Book, 3 Jan 2007
I've been using this book for well over a year now with consistently good results. Her premise of removing the supefluous ingredients works for me and I've now started to do some variations of my own based on her recipes.
My daughter and I baked Stollen this Christmas from the recipe in this book and it is great.

A useful accessory for your new breadmaker, 28 Sep 2007
I've made loaves using 5 of the recipes in this book; they all turned out great. I like the fact that it doesn't list milk powder as an ingredient with every recipe (as does the recipe book that came with our breadmaker). In addition to the recipes the book includes an explanation of the reasons for including the different ingredients and of how the bread making process works. If you're going to spend £60 on a breadmaker it's well worth spending an extra £3.60 on this book.

Excellent value for money, 25 Feb 2006
While this little book may not have all the glossy pictures of some of the other bread-making recipe books, it is packed with a wonderful collection of recipes. It has inspired me to try some really interesting and diverse breads (like the tasty "Sage and onion loaf") and they've all worked exceptionally well.

A Life Saver, 8 Sep 2004
I had owned my bread machine for 6 months before getting this book. During that time I had found baking pretty hit and miss, even when following the manafactures guidelines. I forget how many times a "brick" came out of the machine. Anyway, since using this book I have been making delicious breads which rise well every time. Easy to follow and full of interesting recipies, this is a must for anyone with a bread maker.

You can stop buying shop bread now!, 4 Aug 2008
My husband bought me this book for Christmas and I haven't looked back. The recipes are great and exclude the sugar and skimmed milk powder nonsense that came with the recipe book for my machine. Every loaf has come out perfectly (I have a Panasonic SD253) - I have even braved the free-form ones using the dough programme and had great results (The Italian loaf is to die for). On the rare occasions we buy bread now, we notice just how sweet it is, and just how many alarming ingredients there are listed on the packaging! I can't recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic Bread, 7 April 2005
By A Customer
I got my book yesterday and as soon as I got home I made a Sun Dried Tomato and Rosemary bread. The result was fantastic a very subtle taste and the texture was light. I am looking forward to trying other recipes as I am sure they will come out just as well.A good book I would reccomend to anyone who likes to make their own bread.

fantastic book - please buy it!, 9 April 2007
i bought this at the same time as buying a panasonic s253 breadmaker, i like the way the author has stripped the uneccesary ingredients from the recipies, who needs sugar or milk powder in a savoury loaf? i can only say that if a bad loaf comes from any recipe in this book - then maybe its time to switch breadmakers?
