1.0 out of 5 stars Awful book
I have two books by Mark Linley. How to Cartoon or Caricature Anyone was a gift and I've never forgiven the giver. Seriously though, it absolutely was dire but this one is even worse. This review is from: Right Way to Draw People (Paperfronts) (Paperback)
I have two books by Mark Linley. How to Cartoon or Caricature Anyone was a gift and I've never forgiven the giver. Seriously though, it absolutely was dire but this one is even worse. The Right Way to Draw People is anything but the right way. It is one of the worst drawing tutorial books I have ever come across. The drawings for the most part do not look like the work of a professional. Proportions are wrong in many examples. It is a cheap, shoddy work that will do little to help people develop their skills. How it ever got published is beyond me. I would give it zero stars if that were possible. Don't buy this book. You really deserve much better.
