This is one of the best descriptions I have read of a potentially difficult subject to undertsand. Brian Clegg has written a fine piece of scientific literature

Why, well the wonders of twitter means that if you have a question, you can now track the author down and ask him it.

The fact that it did not just get a tweet back but a blog post dedicated to the answer from a question asked on page three guaranteed this was going to get 5 stars even if the rest of the book was drivel....which it was not.

you can see the exchange here...

Google "now appearing Blog, Brian Clegg" and goto 7th Jan 2014 entry Called Spin Dizzy

As far as the rest of the book is concerned it was a great read. It was just complex enough for the likes of me, it stretched you but not enough to make you want to give up.

I particularly enjoyed the discussion on other options e.g. Horava Gravity and Hadleys theory.

My sole complaint is nothing to do with the content but the book itself.

It is slightly too thick a book to be in what I think is Crown Octavo and should IMHO have been printed in Medium Octavo, it just did not sit open easily in the hand (allowing a coffee to be held in the other!)

But a very small complaint for a great book.

But I haven't got round to reading it yet.
I am stuck on Bell's inequality at the moment.
Bell's inequality has ruined my life.
