5.0 out of 5 stars A Shocking History of Euro-Domination
This is a shocking account of Euro-domination from Brussels, and the incompetence of The British Government in implementing EC Directives. Everyone should read this; it explodes the Euro-Hype. Be warned, it makes startling, and upsetting, reading. The sooner we leave the EC. the better.

2.0 out of 5 stars You choose to read what you want to read.
Anyone familiar with Booker and North's columns in the Telegraph newspaper titles will know what to expect from this book.
The amount of research that the pair have done for this book is amazing, and I do not envy one bit the task of trawling through the endless heap of European directives, but sadly this attention to detail makes it rather heavy going. Even as a...

4.0 out of 5 stars Bureaucracy in control (out of control), 31 May 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Castle of Lies: Why Britain Must Get Out of Europe (Paperback)
The dedicated research put in by Booker and North rewards us with a gripping account of how European and British officialdom can now impose laws and regulations without the involvement of elected bodies. I could not put this book down but it is not for those who want to read for pleasure. This book will introduce you to a science-fiction world where the common people are in thrall to a bureaucracy which hides its power behind a charade of democracy - but it is nt fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brave New World Superstate, 17 Nov 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Castle of Lies: Why Britain Must Get Out of Europe (Paperback)
We need an updated edition of this book.
It is unbelievable that although this edition was published in 1997 the content of the is relevant today. What a masterpiece of inside knowledge this is and what a future to look forward to now that the Lisbon Treaty has been accepted by our political elite without our blessing.
Brave New World and 1984 two books that sum up just what we are heading for and the irony is that we voted for it in 1975. The EU just like a Communist state, you vote for it once and that's the last vote you ever get.
Get used to the coming police state my friends, you voted for it, now suffer the consequences.
David Cameron's "Cast Iron Guarantee" of a referendun on the Lisbon Treaty has been kicked into touch six months BEFORE his election victory. Has David been promised the next Prime Minister's job already?
I wonder who is pulling HIS strings behind the scenes and just WHO are his financial backers?
Strange old world that we live in.
You have been warned.......

5.0 out of 5 stars An insight into the real ambitions of the E.U. elites., 10 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Castle of Lies: Why Britain Must Get Out of Europe (Paperback)
The E.U. elites work to reduce national sovereignty to local council level and is a stealth operation which hides its true intentions. This book exposes these aims and should be read by all.

Even as a Politics undergraduate I struggled to finish the book, and as someone naturally suspicious of the EU I found myself put off by the tone of the text. It is quite simply too heavily biased - we are never in doubt as to where Booker and North stand on the Euro spectrum, but I see little need to hammer the point home so fervently - in parts you might think you were reading something in the school of Michael Moore.
