5.0 out of 5 stars Full of adorable baby gifts to make
If I had to sum this book up in 1 world it would be `adorable', the pastel colour scheme and cute designs make are enough to make you broody! I wish this book had been around when my son was a baby, but still the projects in the book would make great gifts for friend's babies as well as for your own.

You may think from the title and cover image that the book...

1.0 out of 5 stars 200% enlargements for patterns!
Another book which expects a crafter to have access to a large photocopier. Why can't they do a pull out sheet like magazines do with patterns the full size. Crafters want to begin stitching not begin by having to travel to use a large photocopier and spend as much money on photocopying as the book cost. Please please publishers stop doing this.

If I had to sum this book up in 1 world it would be `adorable', the pastel colour scheme and cute designs make are enough to make you broody! I wish this book had been around when my son was a baby, but still the projects in the book would make great gifts for friend's babies as well as for your own.

You may think from the title and cover image that the book will be full of quilts but it isn't, there are only a few quilts in the book. Other projects include a bunny comforter, a wall tidy, cute booties, a story time book and a play mat. The projects vary in complexity, and time needed to make them from the quick and easy to the more time consuming complex projects.

Each project gets several pages with detailed written instructions as well as colourful pictures and diagrams, all keeping with the pastel colour scheme. You will find the templates at the back of the book along with a stitch guide and basic techniques section.

Bought a few craft books and viewed so many more. This book and 2 others were my absolute favorties. Just got them this week and am itching to try out the recipes... only problem is to deside which project to start on.

Stitch It for Christmas
Quilt a Gift for Christmas
Quilt a Gift for Little Ones

Can not recommend enough :)

This book has some fantastic ideas for making items for little ones. I am particularly interested in making the cot quilt. I think it looks really charming for my Grandson due shortly. There are lots more other things that I would like to make.

2.0 out of 5 stars good ideas but not enough instruction, 9 Feb 2012
This review is from: Quilt a Gift for Little Ones: 22 Heart-Felt Projects (Bareroots) (Paperback)
I love the ideas in this book but have found the instruction very sketchy. More for the quick fix sewer, who like to glue their appliques than those who like finished edges. I think beginners would really struggle.
